hi guys new to the forum ,

i have a 93 3.4 im working on with an intermittent ses light , this happens at idle and if i tap the pedal the light goes out . my problem is i cant read the codes by grounding the dlc connector out , the fan comes on and the light is solid , i made sure those terminals were powered and grounded as needed so i tried out matco determinator which goes limp and says make sure the ignition is on , all of my fuses are good and im confused by the scanner saying that , it works on other vehicles fine and the owner just replaced the pcm for this problem,, any help would be greatly appreciated

the paper clip method should work. so your getting a continous light with no blinking?

 

wow i thought someone else might have seen this problem , weird

 

yah its been on the site for a short while and i thought we had it fixed. guess not. if your not getting a 1 blink and a 2 blink then the diognostic program is not working. sure sounds like a short/gound in one of the wires.

 

even worse , Mitchells wiring diagrams do not match the computer side of the car , i did find out the car sat for 2 years and did find a few wires chewed by rodents but still no luck
