My Camaro is now my economy car

If you get a 3rd gen, its not going to be much more powerful than the V6 that you have now. I would step up to a 4th gen V8 Camaro if your budget allows. If you decide to go with a 3rd gen, try to get a L98 350 equipped Camaro. Its the most powerful of the 3rd gens. Good luck.

ive acquired a new likage for da 5th generation Chevrolet Camaro's. i'd totally cruise in one with an LS3 rockin 424ft/lbs of torque..
V8= good
car technology= better
V8+car technology =supreme whoopage (whoppin' the a-word's of all competitors
hence why 4rd gen v6's are bettre than v8 3rd generations

LOL well i am not sure a 5th gen is in every ones budget right now. But i do agree with the performance of each new generation. Hell the 5th gen V6 can give a LT1 a good run for its money and far out performs the old 3.8 (still a good motor IMOP) But how about getting back on topic

5th gen is out of my price range. If I get another Camaro, it will be a 4th gen. I love my 1997 with the older nose and the newer interior, AND I recently discovered that there is a 1997 SS....that is what I'm shooting for. (unless the cars I saw just had SS badges slapped on them). When I'm ready to sell, I'll let you guys have first shot, but I know a few co-workers who have Camaro envy and deep pockets who will probably get it.

I hope you checked the fuel inline and gas lines out on the Tahoe. Rusting fuel and brake lines are pretty common. There was talk of a class action lawsuit. I did my 96 over the summer. What a huge PITA. The lines are not available yet. You have to make everything. I'll bet I have 60 hours in it. I can not even imagin what a mechainic would charge.
The Tahoe is getting inspected now. The good news is that it has a new fuel pump and because of your post, I asked them to check the lines.
I found a forum that is formatted just like this one called FullSizeChevy but it's completely dead. Does anyone know of a helpful site like this one for Tahoe or GM SUVs that still has a heartbeat?

Awesome site, thanks Gorn. Ive been looking for something stupid to do, and since my 1999 Tahoe LT is exactly the same as a 1999 Escalade (thier first year) I am going to try to find a 99 Escalade front clip, swap it out and call my truck the Esca-hoe.
