i installed a magnaflow 15620 on my 97 z today can someone tell me what the s pipe that comes in the lit is for my z does not have this pipe on it and the system lined up perfectly to the cat/y pipe with out it

 

Look at the PDF manual on their website. Instructions tell all.

 

thats why im asking there instructions tell nothing there no diffrent then the instructions that came with the kit it just says remove old s pipe save oem hardware and install new s pipe. it even says on the instruction sheet to see figure b for instructions for the exhaust hangers but theres no figure b

 

The S pipe is for OBD1 cars with only one catalytic converter. Your 97 has dual cats and doesn't need it.
