Default MAC Strut Tower Brace

I just got a strut tower for my 98 V6. It didn't come with any instructions. Has anyone installed on a 98 V6? The strut tower is a three point model.

Thanks,

It just bolts in place using the stock shock mounts, take the nuts off on both sides and slide it on and bolt down. The 3rd mounting point at the cowl, will have to have holes drill in for it.

Not sure what the mac looks like, but I have the kenny Brown 3 point and I didn't use the 3rd, out would be such a major pain to bolt in and have to remove every time you need to do pretty much any top in work.

The brace that I have hits my throttle body. I think it's more for a '99 to '02 because I know the throttle body is position differently in those models.

If it hits anything it's for a v8, v8 bars won't fit a v6, but v6 bar will fit any 93-02 fbody.

It said it was for all models. I guess one size doesn't fit all.

The 99-02 throttle body is higher up than the 95-98 unit, so if it hits your TB then it will not fit what so ever on a 99-02.

I had a 2 point on my 99 3.8L that I loved, it was from BMR. When I decided to sell the V6 car I tried to see if the bar would fit my wife's 00 Z28 and it did perfectly. Actually I have seen the bar that is supposed to be on the LS cars and it gets in the way of a few things and the 3.8L bar cleared everything and sits nicely out of the way. I dont have a problem getting to my oil filler cap or the trans dipstick. The other bar was not so nice about things like that.

The throttle body is not the problem on the 3.8 it's the alternator, that's way the v8 bars won't fit.

Yes, the tin ware in general. I've contacted the seller and trying to contact the manufacture. I just hit one problem though. That was a pun. I hit a deer again tonight.

Not again!
