Lookin to rent a V8 Camaro in 2009

RE: Lookin to rent a V8 Camaro in 2009
I agree, I wouldn't let someone take mine for $1k for 13 days, even 2k is only .25 cents a mile. I am not sure even $2k would get it back from the west coast if it broke down. That's even way less than mileage reimbursement for most large company's .585 cents per mile. Figure gas portion of that is .16 cents per mile, that's still .425 cents a mile, putting your rental at $3485. I think you will have better luck with buying a Camaro for the trip :P

You have to be F#$2ING kidding me. 1000 bucks would not even cover the wear and tear on the camaro. Second no one is going to be willing to let a total stranger drive a brand new 420HP camaro on a race across the country. And they would have to be out of there mind to carry you on there insurace. Your GSR is hardly a down payment on the LS3 camaro i have a filling this is why you are posting this instead of trading it in and buying one your self, You are not able too purchase one and want to trash some one else's. I dont think any one is out of there mind so far that they would hold a 6000 doller car (thats if it is in good condition) in place of a 34,000 one that you plan on runing the crap out of.
This could be the most ricer post i have seen and yes that includes the gutted cats.[:@]

^ he didn't say 2009 camaro, he said a v8 m6 for 2009. So I think hes just looking for any 4th gen z28/ss (93-02).
I agree most people won't want to do this, but I wouldn't say its impossible either.
If someone has a camaro they plan to get rid of thats heavy on miles etc., they might be willing to loan it our for 2 weeks for a thousand bucks. Of course hes not going to pay car rental price, but those places rip you off pretty bad anyways.
At least you can see that he is legit, willing to go on insurance/give collateral/etc. As long as he was willing to make some kind of legal binding contract making the integra a legal form of collateral, I wouldn't say its that unthinkable.

LOL you thank so. Try explaining that to your insurance when he crashes. Oh thats right it was on your insurance let me know how that works out. And any one that is willing to let some kid take out even a 345 hp LS1 and race around the county does not deserve to own the car in the first place. I give up[>:] Any one allowing some one to rent a street car with the only intent being to race it around the county can find out the hard way.

lol this is like my worst nightmare when buying a car, looking to purchase a car not knowing that someone just drove it 8000+ miles in 13 days lol. that's about how much i drive in a year.
