Funny thing about that 3.8L engine... The first generation of them were good engines. My friend had one in his 86 Cougar, over 250K on it and the car wore out before the engine did. Now my Mom had a 88 Lesabre with a Buick 3.8L that would stomp the Cougar any day but I didnt have an issue with the first gen Ford 3.8L. I think 91 or 92 they changed the engine and it became a pile of poo.
