So... a long while ago... i was trying to start my camaro and the key appeared to be jammed. it would not turn... it would go to accesory, but no further. I turned it harder.... then the bad happened... clunk... the key will turn, but when I turn it all the way, nothing happens. so... to resolve this issue, i just used my remote start for a while, then installed a push button start. those options still work fine, but I was thinking about trying to figure out what might be wrong. I took the steering wheel off and changed the tumbler a while back... didnt do anything (accept make my security system angry, had to wire in the resistor to get it to shut up, stupid VATS). Anyways.... I have a new ignition switch... but getting to it down in the steering column looks horrible. As far as I could tell, when I had the steering column apart, everything appeared to be working just fine mechanically. as of now... I just use the push button start and leave the key in the on position to unlock the steering wheel. I was just wondering if anyone has any idea what might be wrong.... It acts like its not sending any signal to the starter. no clicking, no nothing. any ideas?
