Default intake manifold

hey im kinda hazzy on the benefits to a new intake manifold like its benefits, im thinking its to do with the aiir/feul mixture and what not... and i was browsing through some sites and came across this one http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/de...3-1683270.html and since it says it fits 1995-2002 camaros i was just a bit skeptical on it, since that goes near the top doesnt it (i have an LT1) and the LS1 and LT1s were different werent they? but if that will bolto nto my 97Z what would i have to do to put it on?

thanks guys!

Im not sure what they are selling, it says it fits v6 and v8 95-02. but you cant interchange v6-v8, lt1-ls1 intakes. and for that price i would say they are selling oem replacements for something.

Um...I have no idea what that is, the picture isn't vehicle specific and they say 1 intake fits 3 motors[sm=bs.gif]

In all reality you're not going to get much more flow over the stock LT1 manifold anyway, ported to fit a 58mm throttle body it can easily outflow a 400+ RWHP motor, in fact the stock 52mm throttle body is flows enough air that you don't need to replace it until you get into the 350+ RWHP range. Needless to say, save your money for a new Cold Air Intake, cat back exhaust or Headers/Y-pipe.

That looks a little like an L67 upper intake manifold.
And baseballer, maybe an intake manifold isnt a good place to start if your asking questions just to make sure an LT1 and LS1 have different manifolds.

The only other thing is how the hell can they sell a "non vehicle specific" intake manifold....

edit- Yes I know I was wrong but I'm not gonna change it just to save my ***. Its not like I told him to buy it, I threw down the first thing that I thought of when I saw it, and thats ZZP so I thought L67.

It looks like the upper manifold for the L36 FWD cars. L67 upper intake is the blower...

You even called someone out, about the not knowing the difference between the two.

We need a sticky about superchargers from the FWD cars and the differences between the L36 and L67.
