Default Im not to worried but...

today my friend said he wanted to race my 1995 Z28 (dual cat california edition) with his 2007 Silverado V6 4.3L its all stock and is a single cab. he says that the truck is really fast. im just wondering if i will pull on him like crazy or justa few lengths. My mods on my camaro: K&N Cold Air Intake, 2.5' Flowmaster Cat back exhaust and a JET Air Foil. thx

u should smoke him no problem, its a v6 truck, not even a v8. and even if it was a v8 silverado, u should still take him.

I raced my friends v8 explorer with my v6 explorer, beat him by a length, so the v6 could be faster then the eight. Dosent matter you drive a z28

Ya, you're fine, dont' worry about him.

dumbnstupidone: As far as the Explorers go, the V6 and the V8 make similar HP numbers(the V8 is a little higher, but not much) the difference is in the torque, which the V8 makes a decent amount more of. It's all about cam profiles...

The fact that you even had to come here and question it throws me off. If you've ever stomped on the gas in you're car then you are very aware of what it's capable of. If it was a Lightning we were talking about then I could understand you're question but it's a v6. And if the Mustang guys are claiming that their v6 Stangs are killing V8 Camaros then send them my way because their 93-98 GT's are not doing so well against the LT1.

I would put my $$$ on the Camaro. If your thinking that a single cab V6 truck is heavier than a LT1 Camaro, I think your wrong. The truck has less glass, less interior such as seats, carpet, seatbelts and all the other crap inside. I may be wrong here, I havent looked at both vehicles weights, just guessing.
