Question Inlet Heater Hose on 5.7L & 3.8L?

Which is the Inlet Heater Hose on both the 5.7L & 3.8L? The documentation I have does not indicate which. The 3.8L seems to be the upper one, correct? The 5.7L is not so obvious. This is for installing a coolant flush kit. See attached images.

TIA!

That 5.7L is not an LT1, is that a truck 350 ? Are you doing the 95 3.4L ? The pic on the left is a 3.8L which can be found in the " STICKY 93-02 car parts manual page 1005 " here the #6 seal shows the bottom tube on the water pump to be the INLET I think. Good Luck.

The '95 was done long ago. It's an LS1 5.7L.

I almost forgot about that parts manual. Thanks for the reminder.

Nothing on that page indicates the inlet (which should go into the top of the engine) from the firewall/heater core. #6 is to the water pump, and wrong side. Clear as mud. ;-)
