Hey guys so im doing a top end rebuild on my 95 z28. ive got new rollers but i was told that they all go in a certain order. so if i was just taking the old ones out and cleaning and putting them back in they would have to go back the same order they came out? is this true? Thanks!

 

Also Can anyone tell me the correct bolt size for stock intake mans ? im getting two different things on Classic Industries. these Camaro Parts | HEADER BOLT SET 3/8"-16 X 3/4" | Classic Industries or these Camaro Parts | HEADER BOLT SET 3/8"-16 X 1" | Classic Industries

 

If you are re-using your old lifters, then yes, it is smart to keep them in order and put them back in the same spot because those specific lifter bores is what they wore into.

 

Here is a bolt set from summit. Zinc won't rust, on a LT1 you might need some stud type bolts to help mount accessories like the alternator bracket.
I don't think stud bolt is the right term. They have threads above a nut that is on the bolt. You can use 3/4 inch or 1 inch.

use the longer exhaust bolts with aluminum heads. like timmy is sayin, if your using new lifters it doesnt matter the way they go in. when reusing lifters yes they need to go back in the same holes. same goes for the pushrods. you are using new head bolts correct. lt1 head bolts are not reuseable.

 

yeah i know you cant reuse the head bolts. i had to break off the three bolts on both side where the bottom of the intake man bolts to the pipes they were so rusted.
