Hydraulic Clutch

Hydraulic Clutch
I'm thinking about running a hydraulic clutch setup on my 67 and was wanting to know if anyone has done the same. What kind of clutch master cylinder did you use, difficulties, did you also run power brakes, etc. Thanks.

Doing mine in a second gen. but are you using a LT1 or LS1 style transmission hydraulic setup.
Mine's an LS1 style going behind a GenI small block. I'm using a Ram adjustable hydraulic setup. Mcleod makes one also but you can get away with a stock hydrualic setup but it can be a pain with shimming and setup from what I'm told.

I installed a LS type for a customer with a McLeod slave. Not a very good setup. Have heard they updated their design now to make it adjustable, maybe it is OK now. I used the Wilwood master which worked great. Small in size, so it was easy to put in. If you are not buying a kit, make sure to do your homework on the pedal ratio so as to not over stroke the slave.

Yeah, the McLeod one is adjustable now too (and I think that's all they make) but getting it at the right angle is a pain from what I'm told. I know a lot of people swear by McLeod but from some of the stuff I've seen... well I'll just keep my opinion to myself. I'm sure it works but I've seen better quality. Their full kits are nice though.
I would go with RAM or Keisler Engineering's adjustable master cylinder.
