My Camaro Has burnt up it second 700R4 and i am just swaping for a 5 speed. i found one from a 86 camaro but has a hydraulic clutch and was wondering what all it would take to convert mine? i can get pedals no problem but just dont know what is needed to convert to that style clutch or what i need to convert back to cable?

 

Convert back to cable? If your 85 came with a manula it would have had a hydraulic clutch. Keep in mind you may have to do some thing with your computer because it is going to be looking for the TCC and may show a Check Engine light when it does not find one.

 

ok didnt know they were hydraulic but it came out as an automatic and has one in it so do u know what i need to make it a 5 speed?
