Stock valve springs in these cars are marginal, and the addition of high lift rockers can lead to valve bounce and valve float at high RPM. The ideal thing would be to go to stiffer springs when changing to high lift rockers. As for advertised power gain, it has to be taken with a grain of salt. If it were that easy to pick up 25 horses, the factory would have done it. There are two flavors of roller rockers: roller tipped only and fully rollerized. A good portion of the power gained by using roller rockers id due to reduced friction, The ones that are only roller tipped do little to reduce friction, so get the ones that are fully rollerized as most friction takes place at the trunnion wher the rocker pivots. Fully rollerized rockers came in aluminum and cast steel. Cheap aluminum ones do not last long so, if you want to go that route get the best forged aluminum ones available, the other option is cast steel, which is stronger and more reliable, especially for stree use.
