Smile how to remove my 1993 z28 fuel tank

i had installed an amplifier on the rear deck area and when i screwed it down i think i punctured the tank. Cause i recently took out all of my stereo equipment , and now when i get in my car and leave i smell raw gas fumes. please help me with instructions on how to remove the tank. i heard you have to drop the diff.is this true or not?

you need to remove the rear axle its a pain in the *** to get the tank out and back in... i punctured my tank with a screw, i just lifted the carpet and put a bigger screw in there. im sure it wasnt 100% sealed but i didnt smell fuel anymore

yep, its not fun, gota get her up in the air and drop the rear and the exhaust. i didnt think it would be that bad but boy was i wrong. getting the tank in or out is also not easy, gota get it situated just right or it wont go. did anyone do the hatch mod to replace your fuel pump, if so you should be able to drop it down and see and fix any damage.
