Default How to remove fuel injectors?

Just going over my user manual... Is there another way to evacuate the fuel system pressure without a gauge? Like pulling the fuel pump relay and running the car until it doesn't start?

It looks like I just have to evcuate the fuel pressure, remove the bolts holding the fuel rail and the fuel injector clips.

Before I get into it, would anyone with experience like to give me some input on this?

Im switching my fuel injectors around to find a misfire.

Thanks!

You can stick a screw driver in the schrader valve and release the pressure like a tire.

Cool, I will give that a try. As for the steps for removing the injectors?

I have a PDF Camaro manual that is not 100% accurate so any advice would be awesome.

just remove the 4 nuts and use a flat head and twist a little on each injector. pry one up a little.. move to other side do the same just be carefull the rail bends easy. replace both the upper and lower o rings. use fresh oil around o ring when reinstalling. releasing pressure not as big as deal as people make it out to be.

i unhook the fuel lines and remove the rack with the injectors still on, then remove injectors. less chance of dropping something in the injector holes. right away plug them holes with paper towel or something. woh this is a ls1,,, nevermind, not sure how they come off.

Alright I will definitely replace the orings, the stealership doesn't sell them surprisingly so I'll check online. I plan to rig up an injector cleaner and give them a good clean. Thanks for the replys!
