One of my hood struts are out and I plan on buying two replacement ones. Do they all just go right into the where the old assembly was? I was looking at a couple online.

I've used the ones from AutoZone before and they work just fine. Yes, they are a direct replacement. Do the math, and don't forget the shipping charges if you order online.

 

Just make sure you get the correct ones, I had a guy years ago who didn't realize he had an aluminum hood put the steel hood struts on and bent his hood when he went to close it.
