So in theory, couldnt you just tie those wires into a larger gauge wire, then tie that wire into the positive terminal with no ill side effects? I would imagine the junction box would have the same power draw as a directly connected wire would since there is nothing in between.

The only reason Im asking is because I have tucked them away for the most part, but they dont have the reach to be completely tucked away. So if I was going to add wire, I was thinking about just putting it right to the positive terminal.

Sorry Dro94, didnt mean to steal the thread here. Just figured while we were on the subject, Id bring that up real quick. Maybe it would help you too.

the more connections you have the greater the chances are to have corrosion and or a bad connection. i like having them all in that one spot, easy access and all. plus a good number of grounds are on the junction next to it.

Just figured I would replace the block if the original was available since it had the cover, but I'll go with something like was linked or duct tape or something along those lines for now. I like everything neat and tidy and will be cleaning up right after I get this overheating issue fixed. So something has to happen with that block while I'm at it. Thanks as always for all of the help guys!

Speaking of neat and tidy I have one valve cover that is completely covered with Oil and grime, from years of that fill tube leaking, that is really bugging me. I want to go clean it up, but am waiting til I can do everything all at once. Just waiting for my parts to come in now then I will be a cleaning fool, lol. I may even paint those covers. Haven't found any replacements yet that I like.

if you want a cheap and good way to clean it up in the meantime just so it looks a little better, get a $4 bottle of PB Blaster. Spray it on, wait ten minutes, scrub it, then wipe it off. Thats what I did to my entire engine bay and its a dark night and bright day difference.
