Hood Bump Stop thingamabobbers...
Yes I said thingamabobber, lol. Both of mine for the hood are broken. These listed here on Ebay don't look like my originals. Is there a better source for these?

That "red guy" is a power junction block. Those wire connections would likely benefit from a removal, cleaning, and reinstall...be sure to disconnect the positive battery cable first.

Thank you for the info on these. The junction block no longer sits where it is supposed to. Only has one tab left on the bottom of it. Hoping to find a replacement. Trying to come up with all of my parts before I get started on clean up.

Any idea if anyone carries the power junction blocks anymore? I've been searching, but haven't had any luck. Found one thread where someone got one, but was a few years ago and no mention of where he got it.

Tried twice to day to order that junction box and both times they didn't have it and said they couldn't get it. Is there a different kind that I can use to replace this one with rather than spend all this effort to find the original? Preferably one that is covered as well.

You know, there's nothing wrong with your junction block, except for the mounting tabs being snapped off. If it were mine, I would drill a hole above the junction area, and run a self drilling sheet metal screw through it and into the inner fender. Screwed down is how an aftermarket block is going to mount anyway, if that's the route you were to end up taking.
