hard shift when changing gears

Default hard shift when changing gears

was at the shop the other day and moved the camaro...
when going from park or neutral to R or D i feel a jerk
what do you guys think it is?


also i see something shaped like a turbo , its located behind the bumper and has something shaped like a cup on one side. anyone know what this is?

what yr and model? off the top of my head id say its going into gear what work did the shop do and was it doing it before you took it there?

2000 z28, 102k miles, was in the shop for repair since it was hit a few months back (front)

link worked but its deff not a turbo looks like some sort of air pump id do a filter and fluid change at 102000 miles its time

That is the smog pump, and is useless as a turbo. If you are going to keep it disconnected, make sure you plug up the air plumbing going into the exhaust manifolds, so that you don't get asphyxiated by exhaust fumes.

ah i see, everyone thinks i think thats a turbo lol i only said its shaped like one!
