^^^ding ding ding. my only thing that's throwing me off is the motor shaking violently. i'd go with lifter though

check your oil for the oil pressure issue.

it deffently sounds like valve train to me.

you're in shop class right? take your moms car for a while and work on yours in class. even over a weekend. take couple days off work.

a spun bearing would be a noticeable loss in oil pressure...it should get hot as well. i'm sticking with lifter

engine shaking could be a bad plug/wire, or even low oil or something quite ovious like that. my monies on this being a fairly inexpensive fix.

well the other shop i found who was pretty good with my mustang told me theyd charge 85 for a diagnosis and the place just happens to be 2 mins away from my shop class.

get it diagnosed then. and like whammer said, if it was a spun bearing you'd know it and wouldn't be driving it.

yea, well, im thinking no more than 1000. and then you dont have to go through hassle of selling car and what not, but IMO, i'd rebuild the engine...

i agree with yenko, yet it sounds like he doesn't have the money for a rebuild which sucks since you'll be tearing a lot of it apart to fix the problem anyway. but by fixing it at least you will still have your car and can drive it for a while longer
