Is it possible that you rounded off a lifter?,
A "soft" lifter will cause most of the things you listed without triping a code.
Use a long screwdriver, with the car idling, put the metal tip on the exhaust manifold and the other end to your ear, try to isolate where the sound is coming from.
Check diffrent areas of the engine, you should be able to pin the area down (Top/Bottom/Left/Right/Front/Rear)

and if it's a spun bearing you should NOT be driving it.. a valve tick wont hurt it to much.

ok so its coming from the left rear maybe cylinder 6 or 8 im not sure... im not even sure if its coming from the engine.. it sounded like my engine was underwater when i put my ear on the thing. But its not a knock its a tick. a fast tick.

You will know a spun bearing, My bet is Lifter/Valve train.....
(Bearnig going = Loss of oil pressure, hammering at all engine speeds)
