hook 12v to the prime wire under hood, pump should come on, test fuel pressure while doing it. http://shbox.com/1/fuel_pump_prime.jpg

Ok thanks guys I'll definitely test it out again.

On another note, I also noticed the pump is intermittently priming.

2nd UPDATE:

OK 3 things I checked:

1) Primed the pump while pushing on schrader valve. NO fuel was present
2) Primed the pump while the vacuum line on the fuel regulator was off. NO fuel was present.

Lastly, I unplugged the fuel pump harness and probed the 1st & 3rd pin (grey and black) and turned the ignition as if to prime the pump. The meter was reading 10.9v being the highest voltage.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Replace the fuel pump. What more do you need?

If you hear the pump and you have zero pressure the pump is bad. The only thing else would be your out of gas or you have a broken fuel line but then you would have gas filling up your garage.
