for some reason while im driving my engine will shut off and the "check gages" light will come on. sometimes it will start right back up, and sometimes it will take it a little bit. I have no idea what the problem is... btw its a 3800 v6.

 

Has the Service Engine Soon light come on while driving? I have had a problem like that with my Mountaineer, and ended up being the MAF.

 

nope, but i dont think its the MAF cuz it doesnt die at an idle. its died anywhere from 5mph - 55mph. I asked a mechanic and he said that i should try cleaning the injectors.. I didbutit didnt help, so now hes suggesting that I get the crankshaft sensor replaced. anyone have some other ideas of what it could be?
