Default Engine Problems

Ok so i bought a 1999 chevy camaro v6 about 5 months ago it has 166000 and the i believe the crank bearing went bad on it, so now im in the market for a new motor. I am wondering what kind of motor will fit in my car, I have found a 3800 series motor that will work, but im wondering about more horsepower like every other kid. I found a 3800 GTP motor from a 2000 grand prix? and my main question is there a V8 Motor that will work inside of my car? Any responses would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your interest! Patrick

yes there is but it would cost as much as a v8 camaro to install correctly. any series 2 or newer 3800 will fit, that is the block and heads will fit. with some motors you will need to use your current intake, exhaust and sensors. if memory serves me i think the series 3 has better heads and a tad more power.
