I have a 1970 camaro with a 454 engine,I just put in I turned it on and off for about three times for about a minute and a half the reason was that i dient see no oil coming up, someone told me that i had to leave the engine on for a half an hour because i could've messed up my cam i've never heard of this, my question is if anybody heard of this or eaven know anything about this.

 

If no oil came up, then you better not run the engine till you find out why. Did you pre oil the engine before firing it up?

 

You mean your oil guage didn't rise?
