2002 z28 6 speed. while driving the other day my radio went black a couple of times. when I stopped and got gas, the car started right up as normal. as I was getting on to the freeway the radio went out again except this time everything else too. no elec. at all. the battery was cooking hot when I investigated under the hood, unhooked the cables. no blown fuses under the hood. showing shorted across the pos and neg cables

 

sounds like it could be the bcm. be right back

Sounds like it could be your alternator going bad, have it tested. Have the battery load tested as well, it could have gotten cooked/shorted out internally.
