So about a year ago my Cat. Conv. plugged up and blew exaust back threw my egr valve destroying it and melting some wires. I punched out the honey comb and put a new egr on fixed all the wires that melted and checked the rest but for some reason my check engine light keeps giving me a code for the egr. something about the third solenoid not working right, the problem is I have replaced it twice and still the same result. I have also checked the wires again to make sure they where fine. What could possibly be causing this? any ideas?

Thanks funny thing is I own a shop manual for it and didn't even think to look for solutions there. Gonna look into it more hopefully I can find the source of the problem.

 

Technically the 93 service manual there is for the Firebird. Not sure how much is the same for Camaro. I thought I would make sure folks are aware of that. The other manuals from 94 up are F-body.

 

systems are the same. i picked up a 93 book for 18 bucks on eba 93 is a one volume set. found one on a quick search for 26 bucks
