Default Drivers side door seal/t-top question

Hey all!

Thanks for the help y'all have been giving me.. in just two days of owning my new SS I never want to go back to an automatic.. except for maybe going up hills!

Anyway, now that I've got the driving down, I have another questions.

When driving, I know that the driver's side t-top squeaks/whistles just a little.. with music on or the engine revving you can't hear it, and it doesn't leak. If I put my hand out the window and apply even the slightlest bit of pressure to the top end of the t-top cloest to my hand it makes no noise at all.

Anyway way to remedy this?

Also, the seal on my driver's door isn't dried out, in fact, its in great condition. I took it through the carwash and got a slight mist on my left arm. I inspected it very carefully and noticed that there is a small gap big enough for me to wiggle my pinky into at the base of the window.

I took it by the dealership and they said that the top of the seal where the top corner of the window closes on the car has been closed on a lot and is slightly misformed, pushing the window out about a quarter of an inch, and in normal rain conditions won't cause any problems, but in a high pressure wash may get leakage. He advised before replacing the seal to roll the window down in the sun for a couple days and try letting it reform/work it with my fingers.

If not, a new seal costs me about $100 and the labor to replace it is another $100.. any advice? I'll take pictures if you guys would like (plus I wanna show off this awesome car!)

Sounds to me like the dealer actually gave you some decent advise. And that price sounds about right, so it seems those would be your options, unless you buy the seal and do it yourself. Go ahead and put some pics up, we like seeing everyones cars!
