do u redline it?
just wondering when all of u who have manuals shift...i'm talking normal driving, as in 80% of the time on the road. i consider myself somewhat of a granny driver most of the time, i usually shift at or below 3 grand. unless i'm racing of course, or just feel like having a little fun, and feeling the throwback power of my gutted 3.8

RE: do u redline it?
My camaro is still pretty new to be so I guess I am still just having fun but I shift out of 1st and 2nd around 4k-4.5k. I just love the feeling of it. But I have had it for 3 months now and I am starting to drive a little more normal.
IMO, these cars are designed to be driven hard. If I wanted to drive like a b!tch, I would just drive my second car (purple Neon) lol.

ya when i race I go to 6200 but i have a few boltons that make it safier for me to do so but as everyone else has said in town about 3k in town i will do 40mph in forth gear and its not jerky or anything but ur car should have a rev limiter so if its stock ur car will tell if ur doing something wrong.

mine isnt a 5 spd, but if it was i would shift somewhere around 2.5-3.5 normal daily driving.. Mine usually shifts around 3 grand or so depending on the situation in my A4. The last 5 spd i drove didnt have a tach so i dont really know where it was at when i shifted, lol.. I'll have to drive my buddy's gt again sometime..

When I'm driving normally I usually shift around 2300 to 2500, at times with a bit more if I'm trying to get around someone or something. When I'm on it I find my car responds best around 5500 or so.
