changing just the tranny mount- risks cautions?
#22
okay well heres the verdict with the prothane poly tranny mount-
the car feels more grounded
when i put the car in gear it doesnt do a big jerk anymore
chirp the tires alot easier now
im hearing an echo of something in the car now it sounds like pulleys or the "notes" of the exhaust
between 0-90 there isnt ANY shake shudder hop, however at high speed i do feel a little vibration when one hand is on the shifter and other on the wheel( no vibe from wheel)
its very weird but the exhaust got louder and sounds deep, especially when i pull off from a stop.
i did an oil change as well since i was under there and its 40 degrees.
now the 4 bolts that hold the crossmember, they arent notorious for walking out are they? i hand tightened everything until it stopped then 1/4 turned it.
and as for the cats. they look old and rusty. one of them resembles like it got very hot compared to the other. both are bolted on.
