Default Car stays on the throttle??

Recently My 2001 camaro Z28 has been acting a bit funny with the throttle...let's say I hit the gas a good amount, then I start coming down to a stop, the idle stays really high and it cause the tranny to pull...has anyone ever experienced this or does anyone have an idea of what it could be??

If it were me, I would check throttle ensuring it is closing on the intake.
If no, then I would check pedal return mechanically.
Then I would make a resistance reading of the pedal module ensuring the measurement is smooth acting as pedal is moved from idle to WOT.

Welcome, Rob, to the Club.
Ice cream on the second deck.

Yes, I had this same exact problem. It was my throttle position sensor. I replaced mine with a BWD from O'Reilly's, haven't had a single issue since then.
