Hi, I have a '98 V6 automatic and I have a problem with the factory car alarm. It goes off after I lock the doors for no reason. I put it in the shop 2 months ago for this issue and they replaced the computer that controls the alarm system and electric doors. Before I give it back to them, I would like to know more about the problem then what they are telling me. Well for the obvious reason, they didn't fix it right the first time.

Hmmm. Are the contact swtiches in the door jams and hatch lid all good? Maybe something in the lock cylinder not working properly? I don't know. This is just a SWAG and a bump.
