Default Camshaft question

i have a 2002 SS camaro that i use as a daily driver, and am looking into gettting a cam, i have looked into a cam package from Texas Speed & Performance that includes their torquer v.2 Camshaft with 112 degree Lobe seperation for the signature choppy idle, the kit also comes with the CompCams 918 spring kit(.625" lift) and their hardened chromoly pushrods. is there anything else i would need for this camswap? my car is pretty much stock, i just have basic bolt-ons( catback exhaust, SLP intake, SLP MAF, exhaust cut-outs, etc....) thanks for any help guys.

i don't know much about ls1's, but on lt1's to see the most from a cam swap you need to do the upgrades to accomodate the cam. you're going to want headers on there and i'd do something to the rear end before i thought about a cam swap. oh wait, i did, lol

You should invest in a nice set of headers before you do your cam, the stock manifolds aren't going to flow well enough to allow the full potential of a cam (plus, the LS1 responds very well to anything exhaust side). That being said, that cam package is probably going to suite your needs pretty well.

Btw your car isnt stock if you had done bunch of bolt ons to it. Anyways for the best result with cam, you need headers. Try to look into that

agreed. you need full exhaus, i would suggest long tubes with a 3" ypipe, but if you have to get shorties make sure you get an aftermarket ypipe anyways otherwise ur pissing money away.

the TqV.2 is the cam I run. i have my dyno slips posted in the 4th gen section if u care to see them.
