Camshaft Help
Hello again
Back with the 92 Camaro; in case anyone has been keeping track, there's been a new developement in the 305/350 quagmire:
I've read that a 5000 yellow/ 5500 redline tachometer came stock with the 350. This is the tach I have (although it doesn't work well at all, as the displayed RPM are thousands higher than actuality; I "redline" at 70 mph in 5th gear) and it matches the rest of my dash components.
Anyhoo
I'm told that the secret to the classic "reb-reb" sound of performance engines lies in the camshaft. I also understand that a good cam can add a number of horsepower over the stock shaft. Problem is, aside from basic theory and function, I know next to nothing about cams.
Any recommendations or resources?
