Hi,
I have an 84 Camaro, that I'm going to install a 91 dash into it.
I know that the wiring up to the cluster is different, and wires need to be moved around.

Does anyone have the diagrams of the 2 harnesses behind the cluster for each year?

just follow the colors dude. you should be ok

 

The colors aren't the same on the 84 and the 91.

some are, some aren't. That's why I need a schematic or diagram to see the wire labeling for each year. So I can compare and make the changes to the harness as needed.

 

Get yourself the Chiltons #28282. I have it and used it when I put in autometer gauges in my 84 and it has great info. worked out good. Or if you have trouble with finding the book I can scan the pages and e-mail to you. (there are a lot of pages and it is nice to have the book at hand) Keep in mind though I am terrible at scanning and e-mailing pages with out making them really large.

 

Oh yeah and you are going to need the electric pick up for the speedo to replace the cable.

 

I have a Chiltons for 82-89? book, but I don't remember seeing any diagrams in it. The book is pretty trashed, and the table of contents is about gone, what pages are the diagrams. I've looked through it so many times, and dont' remember seeing anything, nothing for the harnesses anyways.

Would you be able to scan the cluster harness for the 91, and also connector C-100? Don't worry about the size, I can resize them if I need too.

I'm trying to decide which is eaiser and better. Try and move the wires around on C-100, or cut and splice the wires at the harness cluster. Everyone is telling me at the cluster harness.


Oh, I have the VSS out of a 91 so ya, I need to yank the cable and run the VSS wires.

My book if for the 82-92 total car care. So I will scan what I think will work for ya and e-mail. And I could give a crap what size they are when they get to you. I am on dial up and they take a while to be sent when they are large!
