The point I am trying to make is that this car should be bought based on a business decision. If you are sure you can sell the known good parts for 5K then don’t give more the 5K for it. That way you have little or no risk. Worst case you get stuck with a tow bill and a couple of keys. There will come a time in your life you will fall in love with a car and be willing to pay more than it is worth. This is not that car. A scraper will use the same calculation when biding on the car only if the parts are worth 5K he is going to need to buy it for 3K because he has overhead to pay. I have no idea what those parts would sell for in your area.
Make sure about Keys, I was GM trained to work on the older 1990 back cars. Some of those cars had resistor keys, with those cars there was no quick work around or reset. Each dealership had a special box that had all the resistors used built into it. If you had a car that you did not know the resistor Ohms on you had to use them box. Every guess took 8 minutes because if your wrong you had to wait 8 minutes for the security system to reset. The training engineer said at the time the point was to slow any thief, even a really smart one, down enough they would not want to mess with the car. I find it hard to believe they made them easier to hack on newer cars.

Mr. Gorn based on business decision this car worth in the market 14000 $ and Iam trying to get it for 10000 $, so the risk is those 4000 $ is the price of fixing it.
hope no one fight me on it in the auction and i have it in low price.
I asked today lock smith he said he would make me a key he has special machine he can make one just like the lost one and the same risiter! wonder what is going on on this bum mind. he asked for 200$ to find me keys for doors and the ignition.
but my fear when I try to start the car there would be a problem in the engine or the transmission!

Ask your locksmith if he has an "interrogator". With it, he can read the resistance value of your VATS system.
Otherwise, you can bypass the whole system with one of these: VATS Bypass Module
Or make your own: DIY Vats Bypass

Hi Androzer, I was thinking about that car you wanted and the money you are willing to spend for it. This is just my opinion but maybe you should buy one from the US or Canada and inport it to your country. You would have a car in way better shape then the one you want to buy and a lot cheaper too. That car you want has 280000kms on it. That mean that all the mecanics in that thing is pretty worn out and is going to need replacement. That car is going to cost more in repairs than the cars value.

What if the last owner bough this high miles car as a parts car because it had a motor knock and the transmission slipped? The first thing he did when he got it is he sold or used of the entire OBD2 fuel injection/computer system? Can you handle replacing and reconfiguring the computer system? What would that cost? The car may be worth 14K in full work order but you need to get that number OUT of your head. You are bidding on a body, a shell of a car. That is it. This is more important for you. Many parts on these cars are discontinued by GM. There is a source for normal wear items but for missing items we here in the states can find someone parting out a car or go to a junk yard. You really need to know that all the parts are there. Even complete wrecked donor cars can be bought pretty cheap here.
