Is it possible to remove the faceplate to the A/C clutch to re-shim it without opening up the system...it looks like pretty tight quarters around the compressor ('93 Z28).I've got the proper clutch tool and a fairly short pulley puller if I need to remove the whole chutch, but I hope there is a way without having to break open the system. Thanks for any help.

 

might get away with it, depending on if your changin the clutch plate or the whole thing. says in the book to take it out. gota get a wheel puller in there to get the rotor and coil and there aint room.
