Default Blue LEDs behind stock Gauges

I know I've seen a few people on here that have done this and my question is would I use 194 single bulbs? I read the guide on here but someone else told me that 168 or 161 would fit better. Also, how many bulbs should I be buying? Thanks in advance

Should be 5 194s. I had White LEDs in before, but took them out.

I have blue ones in mine but go with white. Still has a cool blue tint to it. My blue LEDs don't light up my needles at night nor the red numbers. I can still see them but not as well as I would with white. But it looks very cool.

BUT... LEDs are incredibly bright. Almost too bright. Make sure you get wide angle LEDs as well or you're gonna have dark spots. Unlike halogens which emit light in 360 degrees on all axis, LEDs only emit light in a much more acute space.

Just for an example, this is what mine looked like with white LEDs. I didn't like how blue they looked, but still looked nice.

Thanks for the tips evilkal and Darling. I have so many questions I'm almost tempted to start a "Murda's Daily Questions" thread .

Darling what do yours look like now? Can you post a pic please?

On an unrelated note, I used the Simply Spray Black Fabric Upholstery paint to paint the borders of the seat black. The middle part I left the same. It made a little bit of a difference but not enough for my liking. I know you used it before and then ended up getting GT covers for your car. They look really nice, but I really don't want to spend the money on that right now, plus this car is new to me and I don't know what to expect this winter with the T-Tops leaking and all, so don't want to mess up GT seat covers right after installing them. With that said, I'm probably gonna get these cheap $40 covers until spring comes around cuz I hate the interior and now with the feeling of the paint I hate it a little bit more.

I also like what you did with your doors. If you and Micro lived by me, I'd bring you so much side business lol.

Mine are back to stock. I'm working on saving for a custom cluster so the numbers and stuff will illuminate pink.

I would really not recommend spray painting seats, no matter if it's made for it or not. It wears off eventually and possible onto skin or clothes from the heat. I managed to get a good deal on my seat covers at the time and they look really good and are water resistant since they are synthetic. Water wipes right off. My t tops leak horribly but I haven't had a problem with them affecting my seats. My plans for Sof will be a rear seat delete and nice 'racing' seats for the front, so I wouldn't even be using the seat covers. But I want to get my money's worth out of them first. They've held up very well so far.

You can take the blue film off the back of the gauges if you take the entire thing apart ^_^

My gauges are a much deeper blue than hers. But you cannot see the red in my gauges
