Hell I had the same issue with my car when I put my new engine in and I didnt feel like messing with it. I took it to my local machine shop and dropped $20 to have him drill and tap it out.

If you dont feel like dropping a few bucks then you will need to drill it out and re-tap the threads. They are metric and If memory serves they are 8x1.25. Check the threads on one of the bolts that came out without breaking. Also replace all the exhaust flange bolts they are all fetigued and will break soon.

agree with massey its a good idea to change the bolts on the manifold were the exhaust hooks to it.

When you heated it did you heat the bolt or the manifold? You would want heat the manifold and keep the bolt as cool as possible. Your trying to break the bond if the manifold expands due to heat and the bolt does not the bond should break. If youheat both the manifold and the bolt then you are doing the same thing that caused the bond. You could even shock it by trying to cool the stud with the manifold glowing red.

It almost look like you could weld a nut on the end of the stud. That what I would try before I set it up on my drill press and drilled it out.

I heated both, that is a good idea gorn. I gonna grab some dry ice or co2 and freeze the bolt and keep the manifold red hot. The hardest part about this is that i can get a good grip on the bolt.

I dropped both mine off at the machine shop and had them remove all of the bolts and replace with new ones before I reinstalled the manifolds. $27 They soaked the bolts with something (machine shop secret they tell me) and heated the manifold cherry red to get them out.

Machine shop secret is usually PB blast. I have never found a penetrating oil that works better.
