Default bleeding slave cylinder

I just replaced the clutch and slave cylinder on my ls1 camaro. A few weeks ago i replaced the clutch master cylinder and bled it with a mity vac. I was wondering if i have to use the bleeder valve on the slave cylinder or can i use the mity vac through the fluid reservoir like i did when i replaced the clutch master cylinder?

I bleed the clutch using the mity vac and then with the bleeder valve twice. Any air should be out now. But I have another question about transmission fluid. I heard it has to be dextron 3, correct? I bought 4 quarts of wal mart brand super tech that says dextron 3 comparable, but Im not sure if I should use it. How good of a quality is that brand? Any guidance would be nice. Thanks.

The car a a 1998 z28 with a stock t56 transmission.

I believe that's supposed to be Dexron 6 for the transmission at this point, the owner's manual isn't accurate anymore.

I used dexron 3 fluid. Now that i have driven the car i noticed that it likes to grind in 3rd and 4th sometimes. It didn't do that before with a leaking slave and stock clutch. I think there might be a little air in the line. What is the proper was to bleed the slave cylinder?

nope just pump it. not sure how but it will work the air out sooner or later. that is if it is air and most times it is. have someone pump it and have a look at how things are moving at the slave.
