Default Bad Slave Cylinder?

Ok so I was cruising last night with a few people in the car. I went to go from 1st to 2nd and I couldn't get my car to come out of 1st gear. Even with the clutch all the way to the floor it didn't want to come out of gear. I pulled over and shut the car off and it came right out of gear. I started it in neutral and it wouldn't go into any gear. I forced it into 2nd while the clutch was in and it grind' a little. So I had it towed home. Now I'm stuck. I don't now why this would be happening. Seems as though my clutch isn't fully disengaging the gears. It's always been a little hard to get it into gear sometimes unless I pump the clutch a couple times. I'm leaning toward the slave cylinder here because the master cylinder has been replaced, it has a brand new clutch kit in it, and the tranny is fairly new too. Any thoughts? Anyone have a better idea? Thanks in advance!!!

That's not a clutch problem. You can shift your gears from 1-5 without a clutch. Sounds like something in your tranny isn't lined up right. Can you start your car in first with the clutch in? Good test to see if your clutch works.

Try getting it into reverse. If it won't go into that then check your clutch fluid. If it's empty add some dot 3 brake fluid and pump the crap out of that peddle to get the air out.

I started it yesterday in 1st gear and it seemed to be okay. The car doesn't move when I have it pushed all the way down and the car moves regularly as I let out the clutch. But once again, I can't get it in or out of any gear. Also my pedal is super sticky and spongy. It's always been like that though. That's why I thought it might be my hydraulic system. It's always had a hesitance to go into gear since I bought the car. It's just really bad now. Also the fluid is good and the clutch has been bled as of about two weeks ago.

Was your tranny rebuilt when you bought it? Sounds like your clutch system is fine if you can have the car in first and stopped. Hows your shifter linkage?

Here is a video of the movement that my slave cylinder is producing. I was told that it should move alot more than this.

Yes it should be moving alot more then that. If you do replace it replace the master aswell.
