For your information, I DON"T DRIVE IT! My son does. I bought it as a project car and a way to make up for 2 years of lost time while I was running the roads of Iraqi trying to keep from getting blown all to He77. It is his first car and he is absolutely tickled to death with a V6. Carry on!

All this fuss over 2 cylinders

What if I told you I had a Ferrari with a 4 cylinder engine...would you think that at all strange ?

If you don't have any useful information pertaining to the thread or any V6 threads for that matter, Stay out of them.

I don't see a car in your sig, Do you even own one?

Perhaps you shouldn't ask a question like "who would drive a v6". In your original post, you never told us what year or engine your car was. You took great offense to someone thinking you have a v6. Next time you can save yourself from the embarrassment of someone (OMG!) believing you actually own a v6 by including it the opening statement. It helps us help you faster.

With that aside, replacing the dipstick tube shouldn't be that tough. At the bottom, where it mates with the engine, it is just held in there with an o-ring. At or near the top, it will be bolted someplace, so it isn't wiggling around all the time.

The comment about the V6 was just a joke and not meant to offend anyone

Personally, I believe a true muscle car has 8 (or more) cylinders

I apologize to anyone who was offended by my joke about the V6, as I did not realize it was such a sensitive topic.

Thanks again for all the info and advice

My mistake. It's not necessarily "sensitive" Just seen differently

My apologies included.
