Default 2 for 1

Since I purchased the car December 2nd, I never actually tested the a/c thoroughly. I mean, I turned it on and it blew cold air, but I wasn't really focused on that since I was behind the wheel of a Z28 for the first time in nearly a decade. Anyway, I started diagnosing it since it may be needed soon and noticed the clutch doesn't engage. That was a week or so ago and yesterday, I started it up and sprayed some PB blaster onto the alternator pulley, then the a/c pulley. That stopped the squeak (temporarily)and just to make sure I sprayed the a/c pulley again and sure enough that looks to be my culprit. Glad it was the second pulley I tried and I didn't have to spray them all with that stuff. I have a compressor from a 1994 Z28, but it's been out of the car for about 5 years now. I can't imagine they're all that expensive, but I'm not gonna buy it if I don't need it! Anyway, will it hurt the car to drive it like that? Not that I haven't been, but it's not my daily driver. Plus I have T-tops so a/c seems unnecessary. I'm just glad I found the cause of the noise, not just because it was annoying, it was making me question my purchase. Anyway, enough rambling- going to bed.
