Someone on here did a whole writeup on switching his 4th over to a 350 sbc; try searching around for it, but I'll just flat out say it is NOT worth the hasssle

It's not worth the hassle. You'd be better off saving the engine and putting it in a roller after accumulating some cash. Put it in a FC RX-7, surprise everyone at the drag-strip.

It's not worth it. The carb (if it is carb) will interfere with the cowl and you'll have to cut that, and then change the k-member, cross-member, and so on. Like said above, get a nice roller and drop it in that. Not sure about an RX-7, I was thinking more of a 2nd or 3rd gen, Nova, Chevelle, or Monte Carlo.

Putting a muscle car engine in a muscle car is to be expected... if I had a 350 lying around and the project resources I'd cram it into the smallest import I could find. It's like owning a Shelby Cobra or Jensen Interceptor for much less. Small car with a big, dumb American engine. An RX-7, MR2, or maybe even a 944.

Ehh maybe but when I think of RX7, I think of a beast, turbo rotary, not a sbc lol I guess I think like every other tuner, but that's only because I'm not a tuner, I'm a muscle meat head lol

If you are tight on money then you really dont want to do this. I wrote up a thread in the V6 section of where you can find a new engine and what cars you can get it out of. I put a 70K mile engine in my car that was out of a 2001 Bonneville that was less than $700 for the purchase of the engine and all extras it needs to be installed.

OH and have you ever considered how you are going to fit the dizzy in the engine? how about where the carb is located? If you want a 350 in a Camaro get a 1st through 3rd gen and put it in one of those. This car is the reason the LT1 was built, none of the other cars that the LT1 was used in needed the dizzy in the front of the engine.

If you dont have alot of money then DONT try to make this swap. Just the front K member and suspension that you will need will cost more than the new 3800 engine will.
