Just a heads up. For safety reasons the PCM watches the Gas Pedal sensor and Throttle position sensor like a hawk and is looking for any mismatch. There is a small window of variation that is allowed. Even a small amount of resistance anywhere in the wiring will throw a TPS error. Clean all your connection with electronic cleaner then spray and with a wire dry clear the code and see if it resets. I have not heard much on these boards about this being an issue with Camaros but I know other GM cars that have issues with the Throttle body connector.

Today I removed my tb and found a very thick amount of build up on it.. So I cleaned and reinstalled and cleared the codes.. Now let's see if it worked after a few days to see if it comes back

If this problem was there before but the code never showed up until now would it effect my mPg at all?

It should not effect MPG alot. The open loop operation would run a little rich assuming the gunk is restricking air flow. After about 3-5 minutes the car should go into close loop and adjust the fuel mixture to correct the small error. The gunk would have little effect until you hit high RPMs.

Well the light returned so I'm gonna have to replace the sensor.. All connections were fine even before I cleaned them. Wonder if it's always been stuck open to where its always running rich
