Hey guys, was out playing with my car tonight, thought I would go through the gears myself and see if there was any noticable difference at different pulls.
My car normally pulls pretty good at 30 in second gear, if I put it in drive.
I left it in first and pulled and there was a pretty big difference, a very nice kick I bet more than you would expect from a sixxer.

So my question is: What are the kickdown speeds for an automatic?
Like would it be safe to kick it down into 1st at 30?
If it matters, I have the GU4 coded rear end with stock 3.08's...as far as I know.

 

If i slam it to the floor doing 30... My car loves to eat its tires :$

 

It locks the tires up?

 

I think he meant it spins the tires.

 

Oh, well I think his car is a little beefed up if I remember correctly

4->3 Shift 109
