Default ARP Header bolt issues

I am istalling LTH and purchased the ARP stage 8 locker header bolts. All was going well until I broke a bolt on the first position on driverside. This was the first header i went to torque down. It seem to brake pretty easy. I will try and remove bolt tonight. My question is should I continue to use the rest of the bolts or scrap them and use the stock bolts?

I dont have the part number. They were basic arp stage 8 locking bolts for headers on a ls1 ls2 and ls6. They came from summit. I torqued them to 20lbs. I first torqued them to factory 18lbs, but it didnot appear the piecy aluminum gasket had even compressed. My first thought was the bolt bottomed out in a blind hole, but after I removed the header the left over piece threaded out by hand. Should I continue to use these or toss them in the trash? Other headers ive done, I didnt even bother to torque to a setting. I just gave it some #ss and called it good.

woh,,, well i hope you got a bad one. being its aluminum there goin into i would think a steel bolt would strip the hole before it broke. may want to go with studs.

No they were the same length, and the header flange was thicker than the stock manifold. I used the rest of the bolts and one of the stock bolts. I had no issues with the other ones. Must have been a bad bolt? I installed the headers last night. It seems the oil pan drain plug is tight to header. There is an 1 1/2 inches of clearence. I dont think this plug will come out with the magnet tip on the end. How is everyone else overcoming this problem? Also the pass side header is right on the heat shield under the floor board. Remove the heat shield or add some rubber between?
