Default new thread- absinop light

my low traction light came on and i lost brakes for about 3 seconds then the light went off and my brakes came back but my abs inop light came on. any ideas

lol, maybe that last smoke show. jk. I would suspect wheel sensor wire harness. common fail. other than that it could be the abs brain box is not happy. I have seen guys take off and bypass abs rather than fork out the bucks it cost to repair or replace.

thanks. ive been told you can clean those sensors and sometimes it helps. if not then ill have to find out how to bypass abs

i noticed something this morning. the master cyclinder resivor where the top and bottom join together, i got seepage on my finger when i ran my finger across it but master cyclinder not low. also something i failed to mention, durning the winter i had to fix a leaking brake line going to the back. i bleed them out but didnt know there was bleeder valve on abs modulator motor pack. should i have also bleed it out too. thanks....

had to have the abs box replaced in my old flatbed. it was doing some weird stuff. peddle would go to the floor then next pump it would give weak brakes with peddle close to floor. scared the crab outa me. lol. I have not had issues with abs when bleeding brakes. I have had to reset the safety switch/valve by pushing on the peddle as hard as I could after brakes was fixed.

your computer has disabled it so its not working now. I have seen a guy on here take one off. do a search on utube I'm sure there's several how to videos.
