Default Coolant Leak Question

Hey everyone.

So i had a coolant leak on my '74 camaro, 350

We checked the radiator and it was half empty, it's not bringing in coolant from the reservoir because the cap on the radiator is wrong..

Until I get the new cap, I just topped off the radiator with water, and it hasen't leaked for about 3-4 days now

What's this mean? I'm sure there's still a leak but maybe I'm just lucky and it's stopped or a couple days?

make sure youre always using a 50/50 mixture of coolant. If you werent using the correct cap it probably wasnt pressurizing the system correctly.Do you know where the coolant was leaking from ?

Are you sure your radiator wasn't half full instead?
And yeah, where was it leaking from? Is your cap rated too low and coolant was blowing out from there?

when we looked after pouring in some water, water was running down as if it were coming from the water pump.
Maybe replacing the housing with help?
